When you work somewhere like that, they put you where they want. You don't have a choice - you either deal with it and learn what you can about the department, or you sit back and say "don't ask me, I don't know" the entire time you're there.

You are correct. You went to Wal-Mart and asked for plant advice?

With what they pay and what they require to work there, you were lucky the person could answer you in your own language and even knew what a plant was.

That being said, you probably could have bought the plant cheaper there than anywhere else.

I used to work at a beauty supply store with a bunch of hair care products. I had no clue as to what shampoo or conditioner is supposed to do what. I had no clue about hair color either. All the manager wanted was someone to ring up the purchases. Makes no sense.

I get a lot of that everywhere I go and it drives me crazy. You must have no work ethic at all to not add in "I'll find out" after saying "I don't know". Actually last time I was there I asked about their reloadable debit cards and the woman at the desk answered my last question with a "I don't know". What an idiot.

Isn't that crazy? My friend asked for smokes, at a drugstore, and the guy told him he didn't smoke. He was working the smoke counter. eeeek!!

It's no wonder with WalMart's hiring and firing policies. Not to worry. She won't be there next week.

WalMart just trains clerks to operate the register, not to know anything about the department. I guess that's why they only make 8 bucks an hour.

There are two requirements for working at Wal Mart.
1. You need a pulse
2. You can not be in a coma

And I hear that the equal opportunity people have a lawsuit against them to repeal those two requirements as they are considered to be discrimination.
