How much RWHP are you running?

I'm curious because I'm running 136rwhp/77lb-ft on my '04 999S and my buddy is running 151rwhp/84lb-ft on his 1098. Same mechanic tuning, stock pistons with full Termis, same mileage. Oops, I have a PCIII and he does not.

We both thought the difference would be greater that's all...

Mine dyno'ed at 146 at the rear wheel after the 600 mile service when they installed the full Termi's. It feels as though it's getting a good bit stronger as it get more miles on it. I have about 3500 miles on it now.

Mine dyno'ed at 138.8 with a stock exhaust and running a little lean. I hope when I take it in to get tuned it will break 142.

144 on a bone stock bike with a PCIII, 143 without the PCIII. That's at dynojet HQ on their own dynos.

I think, to the first post, you were using one of those dyno's that produce kinda non-standard numbers. The number on the 999S seems really high, it seems like good numbers for a 999R on U4.

But you don't have an exhaust correct? If so, that's why my buddy's got the 151, he's got a full Termi. Then I need to assume that the 136 is accurate on the same dyno...the "WinPEP DYNOJET Performance Evaluation Program"

The other factor could be that our mechanic is one of three being nominated for some type of award by Ducati NA because he's damn good!

Dyno numbers are only comparable on the same dyno on the same day. Theyre great for showing power curves, relative horsepower to bikes that make back to back runs or for mods made after each run. Comparing dyno figures any other way is more or less futile.
The 999 to 1098 comparison in the first post, looks like about 10% power gain for 10% displacement. Should be about right?

That's not really accurate since there are so many other significant changes to the motor. All I know is mine is blazing fast compared to the jap bikes.

It really is different dynos produce different numbers. What the other guy said about them being useful to comparing two bikes on the same day is true.

Was the 999 on the same day? It seems to be running really strong.

Oops, just noticed you had full termi's on the 999. Those are probably pretty accurate numbers, Termi's are the shit on the 999's. Mucho power increase, especially with a full system.
