I'm making some penne rigati with Italian sausage, but I don't quite know how much pasta I need to cook. I have a 24 oz. jar of tomato sauce that I am going to use for it. My dad and I like a lot of sauce, and I just need to make about 4-6 servings. The measurements for my ingredients are below. I just need to know how much of the pasta to cook. Keep in mind I don't have any fancy measuring scales...not even a measuring cup that will work. I'm in country that uses the metric system by the way(dad's business), that is why everything is in grams. All of are measuring cups we brought with us wont work for the amounts on the packages of our food. It gets confusing.
500 grams penne ragati (about 17 ounces)
680 grams tomato sauce (24 ounces)
448 grams of Italian sausage (4 sausages)
1 medium onion
dried basil (however much you guys suggest)
