how much paint does it take to paint a car?

it akes about a gallon if you painting it the same color to do a good job or about a gallon and a 1/2 for a color change
 
i got a gallon of paint for my car but its not cutlass. i would think that any regular car would take only a gallon
 
The perticular colour is obtained by mixing of number f primary and secendory colours. It is done by adding numberof colour as mensioned above by weight. Its takes very less. GM, Tavera would take arround 350 gms. But the primer required is more. Because the primer is coated thre times where as paint is only one layer.
