How much of an improvement would these parts be to my gaming pc?

Current parts :
Intel core 2 quad 2.4 GHz
Random Acer motherboard it has 1 pci-e slot and 4 ddr2 ram slots

I have a Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1 GB from my old rig that im going to use in the new rig so please let me know if this is a good improvement :)
