how much notice to i have to give to quit my job at a sports shop?

I am temporary at JJB Sports but I have an interview on monday for the Leisure centre, and if it goes well i'd like to quit my low-paying job.
I was wondering how much notice i have to give, I think it's a week but i'm not sure.
Als, what should i write in my letter of resignation?
