Well that depends on what type of product you use and equipment you buy. You can go low end and only need a few thousand or do the right thing and go higher end and pay more but you will make a good name for yourself.
Having a degree does zero for being considered a business loan. What really matters is if your business is a "needed" service, in your community. If you live in a rich, or a resort town....your chances of getting approved would be high. Otherwise, find other funding sources. Minimum required start-up for a salon/spa, is about $75,000-$110,000.
