How much mileage should a Honda civic/Honda accord or toyota camry/corolla take?

I'm 20 and I'm looking to get my first car. I've been looking mainly at toyotas and honda because I've heard they're good, reliable, cars. I'm looking at mainly late 80s to mid 90s versions of theses cars. I was wondering how much total mileage can theses cars usually take before they start to experience problems? I can't afford to spend more than 2500 dollars on a car cuz I only have about 3000 dollars saved up.

You can put lots of milage on either car. I personally put 300,000 miles on a toyota previa. The fact of the matter is that the previous owner(s) have to be consistent with servicing and maintaining the vehicle. You can go to carfax and pull up a report on the car. My choice would be a toyota. I bought a toyota Corolla 6years ago for $3500.00 it's still on the road. Good luck!

It completely depends on how well the car has been maintained. Check all maintenance records for routine stuff done when it should be done. Check the owners manual to see when work should be done and compare that to the maintenance records. Don't trust someone who tells you they did the regular maintenance. You need to see the records and/or talk to the person who did all the maintenance!

most any car made you can get 400,000 or more with right care but knowing how to check a used car before buying it type into search box how to check used car
will get you a checklist to look for signs of problems finding anything on list leads you aways from buying it.. i payed 1300 for my ford 6 yrs ago it has over 300,000 miles learn to look for problem signs an learn how to do car maintenance and when
