My mom just recently died and we have found a stash of mercury(Hg). There is about a gallon of it all in little jars that say mercury. I know it's harmful and poisonous but I played with it a little bit. I was windering if there are any laws preventing the possession of mercury that isnt in a thermometer or thermostat or something because I want to keep it. If I can't keep it, how can I dispose of it properly?
