About 3 days ago I bought a 2000 Dodge Neon for $2000. It runs pretty good, looks decent...I like it. It does need a new paint job ( the paint on the roof is peeling BAD). Also, I cant have a car and not personalize it (stickers, window decals, interior decor).
So heres my question...the Neon has 187,000 miles on it. Like I said, it runs just fine and the engine and everything looks perfect. But will it last much longer? Is it worth a paint job?
The person I bought it from never had any problems and kept it well maintenanced. BUT she only had it for 6mo and there were two previous owners. I know this car wont last me years but will it last maybe 1 or 2??
For everyone saying I got ripped off, I really dont think so. The KBB value was $2300. Its in good condition and everything and the paint isnt reallllyyy bad. Just the roof is peeling and faded. Im just picky about fixing up my cars..
