I was attempting to help out a friend of mine who has a heroin addicton, and recently she was arrested for possession of heroin, and after searching her they found her in possession of my checkbook, and that day she had written out 285$ in checks, and forged my name onto the checks. She also stole checks from another woman who lives in her house. Shes 17, and has a prior record of aggressive assault, chriminal mischeif, and multiple counts of possession of stolen goods. If my research was correct if it is greater than 200$ forged it is a felony. I heard that she is getting charged as an adult for possession of heroin, and i would assume she would be charged as an adult for the fraud checks. Im curious if anyone could tell me how much time she will get. because i will be very disapointed if she only gets probatioin.
