I wanted to get a permit. I cannot. I will only be in Kauai for a week, and I have no idea when I will have a chance to go back. I'm still going to hike it, because a fine would be worth it. But how much is that fine? Currently that is, because I hear they have tightened up a bit down there.
How much is the fine for hiking the Kalalau without a permit?
