How much is my Harley Davidson worth?

I have a 1978 Harley Davidson AMF 250 that I am trying to sell, but I do not know exactly what to price it at. If anyone has an idea of the value, it would really help. I believe they only made this model for one year, but I am not completely sure. All I know is that there is not too many of them out there. Please help if you can. Thanks for looking.
 
This is a guess but approx in mint condition it's worth $1500 to $1800, but that is for a super clean one.

But the dollar is going crazy right now so nothing is certain.

If you're talking the SS250, Kelly Blue Book puts it at $1300 (that's what a dealer would ask), so that at least gives you an idea.

Perhaps more if you honestly feel it has some "classic" value to it.
 
There were 3 different 250's for that year. A motocross, dual sport, and cruiser. The Cruiser is valued at $1300. Which is a pretty high value for a 250 40 years old. That value can be found at KBB.com/motorcycle This value assumes that it runs and is in good condition. It does have colector appeal since AMF made a lot of sizes that Harley otherwise won't make.
