How much is fair for a Honda Nighthawk 650?

Went into the local dealer today and they had a Honda Nighthawk 650 going for £1500 which seems far too much to me. The bikes weren't made after 1985 but they have it down as being registered in1999???

It has some minor bumps and rust but would look fine with a clean. 30000 miles on the clock.

Personally I would have thought around £800 was fair.
 
is it a nighthawk frame? if it's registered as a 1999, the frame could be from another similar bike that was made past 1985.

800-1,000 sounds a lot more reasonable thank 3k, but it's a dealership... What did you expec?
