I'm looking at buying a Katana for $1000 but needs carb work. I'm not sure exactly what is needed. So does any one know how much it would be to completely replace the carbs? Any info will help! Thanks!
Most dealers will charge $85 to $100 per carb for a detox, and possible more if they need parts. To purchase carbs would be about $300 a carb (new)...rebuild, rejet, and have them vacuum tested/synced...should be $500-$600 bucks total.
$1000 for a 1990 seems kinda steep. Carb work might just need cleaning, which should cost like $20-$30 bucks if you do it yourself or probably $100-$200 if you send it to a shop instead.
