'04 Mazda Tribute (4WD, V6)? I have always trusted the place I went in the past but I am a woman and do not know much about cars, therefore have gotten taken advantage of by others and am now wary of mechanic shops. Is $500 for a tune-up with all the fixings reasonable? How about $200 for a transmission fluid flush and $90 for a brake fluid flush? Thank you!

unfortunatly car parts are getting expensive, so yes I can see 500 for a tune up if it includes everything that a tune up should, 90 for a brake flush dont sound bad but unless you are having a problem with your brakes why do it? 200 seems high on transmission flush but the vehicle could have full synthetic tranny fluid in it which again is expensive so really prices arnt out of line

TUNE UP $500 DEPEND ON WHATS GETTING CHANGED. FOR STANDARD TUNEUP THEY ARE RIPPING YOU OFF. 200 TRANNY FLUSH . WOW!!!! 90 BRAKE FLUSH . DECENT PRICE ON THAT

well a tune up maybe shouldnt flush anything just replace fluids and really dont have to do any of them at all but tune up an dthat could cost you 500 depending on who you have do it an dyou can learn more about any car service or maintenance how to's or what it needs are by typing more you know about cars longer you will be adle to drive them without costing you more money than you need to spend knowing more even if your not doing the work wil keep them inline more and keep you from being riped off 500 about right easy to cal another shop ask for a price to do same thing id just go with a tune up rest is not really a thing you have to do been driving my car 13 yrs its never had any flushing of anything and it has over 300,000 miles and still running just fine heres a couple links to help you learn how to care for any cars you might have which wil help you many times over jjust knowing more about them
