I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee, 4.0 L. It has a lever to pull for 4 different things, 2H, 4H, N, and then 4L. The 2H is what you use to drive normally, and then 4H is for driving on wet or icy roads, N is for neutral, and then 4H is for driving on rough terrain, through like the forrest or some thing. I think 4H is 4 wheel drive, and it pretty much gives you better grip to the road, but at the expense, uses more gas. Does any one know how much more gas it uses? I was using it on Friday and Saturday and I saw my gas mileage decrease A LOT: from 22mpg to 11mpg, but I was not using Any one know exactly how much more gas 4H uses?
