My local repair shop who I have been going to for three years now, has recently told me that my front right strut is leaking. Therefore, I will need to have these replaced which are done in pairs.
My first question is, should I just get the front two replaced or go for all four, since the back ones will give out eventually too.
Second thing is..they gave me a quote of about $750 for the front strut replacements (250/each) with the labor and front wheel alignment included in that quote. Isn't $250 a lot for a strut on a gm model vehicle. I saw KYB struts for $100 each and NAPA ones too. I understand there will be markup but $250?
Should I opt for a chain store instead for the strut replacement..national tire and battery (NTB) for instance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
