I know absolutely nothing about cars, but the other day when I was getting my state inspection, the mechanic said something about a rod sticking out? I had no idea what that meant, but after doing research I'm guessing that its my tie rod. (please correct me if i'm wrong). Anyway, whatever it is that's "sticking out," if it is the tie rod, does that mean it needs to get replaced or fixed? I have a 94 accord dx, and I'd just like to know a general estimate of how much it would be for this to be fixed. Any ballpark price would be fine, I just want to get an idea of how much I'll be spending.
