how much for a new lexus engine?

looking into buyin a 1999 used Lexus with 100k miles -- it's only $9888, which is a steal for a lexus, and i've heard their engines can go up to 250k miles, which is awesome... but, if i did have to replace an engine, how much would it cost? also, do you think it's a good deal? according to kelley blue book, it's worth about 8-9k... and since i want to be able to buy used and pay all at once, i think it's a good route for me to go... thanks!
 
Lexus IS Toyota....Don't believe me...look at the sticker at the sticker on the inside of the driver side door!

$10K for a 10 year old Toyota with a 100K miles?!!!??!??!....what a rip off!

For $10K, you can get a BRAND SPANKING NEW Scion or Hyundai

That would be a waste of money
