Ok here the situation, I start drivers training in less than 2 weeks for sure. But my parents cant seem to decide what is a fair trade off for payment. My dad wants me to have the easier route with payment on there hands until I stabilize and finish high school. But my mom on the other hand want me to pay for it as she did that way I can get priorities right and have to work for it. Now for me I said I would try to get a job to help pay as much as I can through the years but I would really need them to put me through do insurance and get a care for me before I can do so. I definitely dont think It should be handed to me my whole life but to get my life to move on and get started.
about me: Im not a slacker I get a's and b's mainly except last year. I have no problem working if It is enough to make minimum marks on the books. I have no problems at school or out of school no fights nothing outrageous. Nothing! but my mom things being a citizen doesnt mean I deserve to be handed a license. I also have things like a quad Im willing to sell of to help with payment because I have no money saved up. But my mom wants me to sell everything I can so I can afford this expense. so i would be left with my bed and 1 weeks of clothes pretty much.
so who do u agree with? either one is right just wondered how you got by. looking for newer teens as Im sure they had problems similar to mine now as opposed to go out and find a job anywhere 20yrs ago. thanks
thanks bluebell for writing in I needed the input I must add a few things though.... so u know I havent been able to save up because I pay for my phone and I pay for my sports my clothes. etc. etc. I know my parents pay for a majority but you need to understand its not that I am imature about money the only decision I regret doing is my quad. Im not a whineing kid Im just upset that she wont help with insurance and between my divorced parents she ops out at $125 1/2 of the drivers training price. not insurance she already told me no. sorry for not saying this b4 hand. also I can afford the car just by selling my quad but everything else I cant guarantee I can make payments on every month.
