How much financial aid should I expect from Georgetown University?

As of yesterday I was admitted to Georgetown under the early action program. Obviously, the cost is a lot, a total of $55,000 a year. It's my top choice but I'm concerned about the financial aid available. My parents make about $50,000 a year. And even with the average financial aid package of $22,000 it's still a huge amount to pay. Even if it somehow came down to $15,000 it's a lot. Does anyone have any experience that can offer comments or information about this?

Well you have to apply for aid before you can guess how much you will get. That average financial aid package includes loans, just to let you know it is not all gift aid. So when your parent's W-2 forms come fill out the FAFSA, start applying for scholarships right now. Truth be told you'll end up with a good deal of it in loans, when you fill out the FAFSA make sure to apply for Work Study as well.
