i want to find out the efficiency of a stereo with 20 watts of sound output. batteries have 400,000 joules of chemical energy. I put new batteries in the stereo and i play a tape. The batteries are dead after 5 hours. Also, if the stereo is put on the radio setting, would the batteries last longer? If not, why?
