How much electrical power could the average human produce with a bicycle?

I know there are power meters for bicycles used by racers for training and such, but how much of that power could actually be harnessed by a generator affixed to the bicycle? Assume a pretty fit rider.

I'm guessing one rider could power one 100 watt light bulb continuously, is that a decent ballpark guess?

100 watts is a good guess.

4 150 watt bulbs is more than pushing it. That's nearly 1 hp. it might be that they were glowing slightly, but i seriously doubt that they were at full brightness.

100 watt is a good guess. At the Science Museum near where I live there was a pedal-powered device that people could experiment with. When I tried it I got 4 150 watt bulbs to light up.
