How much does it cost to replace existing home air conditioner with an energy star unit?

I live in Florida and have a two story townhouse (approx 1100 sq ft). My current a/c is 15 years old and looks like it 's on it's last leg. How much would it cost to replace the unit to an energy star one (15 seers right?). I hear 3k for a 13 seer but I imagine it's more to get the tax credit.
