That would depend on a lot of factors. 1) Where the hotel is: in real estate, location location location. NYC cost a lot more than Alabama. Competition dictates price. 2) How big the room is: they usually have multiple ballrooms including a small one that holds 30 people and a huge one that might hold 175. 3) requirements for the room: are you merely renting the room or wanting to serve food there as well? Nearly all hotels require you to use their catering if you want to have food. That starts the price at like $50 per person.
Of course a Marroit, Hilton, and Holiday Inn are neither the same price range or same chain so they will have different prices as well.
So the only way to find out is to call hotels in your area. Know approximately how many people and if you are wanting catering as well prior to calling them. Also Fridays are generally cheaper than Saturdays.
