how much does it cost to rebuild a 87 2.3 ford ranger engine?

how much would it coast to rebuild the engine cause i found a 87 ford ranger engine 2.3 L an a 4 speed transmision togather for 150 i was wondering if it was worth while buying the engine an transmision for 150 an rebuilding the 4 cylinder engine cause mine going to go soon in the next year an the truck is in grape shape jus old engine
