How much does it cost monthly to "add" the DVR/Recording thing to our Direct-Tv?

I just need some basic information regarding the Direct-Tv DVR/Recording pricing and stuff for it.I'm thinking about adding it to our television, because all of our friends have it on their Comcast TV's and it would be so nice to get! I just don't know how much it costs. Do any of you have it? Or even know legitimate things about it?
