I'm looking into buying a 5 door hatchback 5 speed manual Ford Focus CL LR 1.8L. There are two options for me. The 2002 or the 2003 model.
The 2002 model is from a dealer at AUD10,990 driveaway. It has done 115,145KMs with one year rego and new tyres. The dealer is giving a 3 month/5,000KM warranty.
The 2003 model is private sale at AUD11,200. It has done 102,000KMs, no rego. Which means I have to pay for rego-$612.30, stamp duty-around $400 and inspection-around $150-200.
Both have complete service history and only one owner.
I might be able to get the 2003 one cheaper. Have to negotiate with the seller. How much do you think it should go for?
And out of the two, which will you go for if I am able to get the 2003 model cheaper, let's say AUD9,500-10,000?
