Dealer Invoice Price)? I'm going to be buying a bike soon and I'm hoping to negotiate with the dealer a reasonable amount. I'd prefer to know what the bike cost them ahead of time so that I can be realistic throughout the process.
 
The 2008 ZX-6R retails for $9100 to $9600. The dealer doesn't make a whole lot of money on these bikes, maybe $500 or so. I would not expect a dealer to come off the list price much at all. You might be able to negotiate a jacket or helmet thrown in, but this is a popular bike and if you won't pay retail, the next guy will be there soon enough.

Later in the model year, if a dealer has a surplus of these bikes, then you might find some negotiating room. Good luck!
