How much does a 1994 Ford F150 haul?

I'm looking into hauling horses. I've seen many people hauling horses with newer F150s but people keep telling me I need at least a 250

It really depends on what the setup is in the truck, like a 5 speed or automatic transmission. It also depends on how many horses you want to haul at one time but my grandpa has a 1995 F-150 and he hauls cows all the time with it and has no problems.

A F-150 wouuld be good enough to haul 1 horse, its a 1/2 ton so basically a car with a box on it. A 3/4 ton is made for heavier loads and for hauling. You could put overloaders or airbags on a 1/2 ton to make it the same as a 3/4 ton for appr. $300.If you want to haul more than 2 horses at a time you would need a 1 ton (F-350)
