I usually do 20%, but if the waiter/ waitress was especially good or bad, adjusted to what you think is fair for their work!

When I walk into a restaurant, I start with a 15% tip. The waitstaff can raise or lower it based on service. I would never go below 10%, but I have gone as high as 50%.

People who can't afford to tip shouldn't be eating out in the first place.
