How much do you usually tip at restaurants?

I saw a comment posted by one guy that said he didn't beleive in paying people to do a job their already getting paid to do, but the reality of it is they really aren't getting paid to do it, they rely on the tips. Most waiters/waitresses only make like $2 an hour some places its a little more, but how would anyone live on that little amount of money? So what I want to know is how much most of you tip when you go out to eat? I usually tip between 10 and 15%.

Most always, five dollars even if the service is good or bad.Waitresses do depend on their tips ,so if the food was bad but the service was really good,I feel as though a tip should be left. While in a restaurant, a waitress was behind me and she was upset because she didn't recieve a tip on two different tables. If she waited my table ,which she didn't,and was rude and not knowing the menu,or didn't offer refills,I would think long and hard about leaving her a tip, period.!!!

Minimum 20%, That's the going rate now. 15 to 10% is considered cheap now. on small bills 3 to 5 $ is nice. Bad service really burns me up too, so does unruly or loose long hair, i feel their there to work not going to a fashion show.
