How much do these toothless UN resolutions and waste of time debates cost taxpayers?

The UN General Assembly is set to vote on a resolution requiring Israel to conduct an investigation into charges of war crimes committed during its January offensive on Gaza.

The assembly's 192 member nations will decide on the non-binding resolution on Thursday at the end of a two-day debate on a report by an independent UN fact-finding committee headed by former war crimes prosecutor Richard Goldstone.

The damning report mainly highlighted Israeli violation of international laws during the deadly attacks by Israeli fighter jets and ground troops during the Gaza onslaught that left more than 1,400 Palestinians, mostly civilians, killed.

The UN committee charged the Israeli army with intentional targeting of places known to hold civilians and using Palestinians as human shields among other war crimes.

Non binding --- If everything goes in Israel's favor --- it was a good suggestion

If it all goes against Israel --- it was only a suggestion
-----------------

And what will the suggestion be limited to ?

Hey we think this report might be true -- please investigate yourself for gross crimes of war and against humanity and tell us how that comes out would you ?

And even if Israel takes the suggestion and investigates itself --- gee - Nope we didn't do it --- ?

Who the F---k is paying for this ?

How much do these toothless UN resolutions and waste of time debates cost taxpayers?

I don't want to send the Prime Minister or any government official to these meetings again -- If they want to go let them pay for it out of their wages

you are right. Only a dip shit organization like he UN would look so closely at the victims of terrorist attacks rather than at the criminals behind them. close down the UN.

You're right. A Better resolution would have been," Israel next time ...wipe them all out."

A whole lot less than the cost of the stupid war in Iraq.

If we had stayed with the UN inspections regime in Iraq, over 5000 brave US soldiers would be alive instead of dead, tens of thousands more would be able-bodied instead of crippled, and Iraq and Iran would both be contained by their mutual enmity. And the federal budget would be about a trillion dollars richer.

Look at it like they do, keep spending money so we get an even bigger budget next year.
