I am looking to buy a used set of subwoofers and amplifiers. It is difficult for me to decide how to appraise a set of subs as I know that it is user dependent. When someone is selling them used I have no idea how they sound until I drive around and hear what they sound like... which could take me a week or two. Obviously a new set is the way to go, but if I could get a well used set I could save hundreds. Anyone have advice on how I should appraise used subwoofers/amps? If something is worth $500 based on old sticker prices, should I offer 50%?
