How much do I charge someone to deliver an item in my car from one state to another?

I posted on craigslist that I'm driving to Alaska and someone in Seattle e-mailed and asked me if I could transport their 40 pound engine (I can fit it in the back of my car) to Alaska, about 2,200 miles. He offered to give me $50. Is this fair? It seems low, but I don't know how much to ask for.

Another guy asked me to transport his small ATV trailer, and said he'd give me $40, but again, this seems low.

Any suggestions?
