How much do corporate lawyers get paid?

I want to be a corporate lawyer when I grow up. I want to know how much they get paid. I don't get why people are so impressed by lawyers. I did some research and they don't get paid THAT much, not as much as surgeons do. I want to graduate from a top law school, Harvard maybe. Please don't lecture me about Harvard. Anyways, are there any lawyers or people who know lawyers who can elaborate how much corporate lawyers get paid? And what type of lawyer gets paid the most. I know it sounds like I'm money-hungry, but really I'm just confused about my future. Please help!

it is difficult to generalise how much they make, as the salary depends on (a) which law school they graduate from, (b) the law firm they article with, (c) years of experience as a lawyer, (d) the size and profitability of corporation they work for, and (e) likeability and personality of the lawyer

to start as a junior corp lawyer, on average, the salary will probably be around $80,000, and top at around $400,000 as average, but the salary for the brilliant will the sky limit
