I opted against college/university (even though I achieved the necessary qualifications), and started work as soon as I could. I took a job as an office junior, yes one over the cat!, in an ad. agency. The salary was poor,
but through hard work and promotion, within five years I became an account director.
This put me streets ahead, both financially and career wise than those who opted for the college route, and were now trying to find thier first employer.
It worked for me, ok so I may have missed out on a bit of fun, but I assure you the long term benefits were all worthwhile.
Just an option to hew over. Hope it helps?
