How much did bush contribute to the media showing him as an idiot?

An answer to one of my questions was that the media contributed to bush appearing idiotic -

He was reported around the world as idiotic.

Please dont get me wrong I see the usa is run by the fed bankers with the help of puppet presidents, obama/bush who cares the fed make money.

But was bush truely a total idiot or was it just brilliant editing?
