I want to sell a 2004 blue 4 door 4wd Ford Explorer on craigslist. The transmission was recently rebuilt which cost me $3,600. I owe $7,000 still. The body is fair, the interior is OK and there are 3 rows of seats and 80,000 miles. The transmission has a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty.
What is a fair market value to list this at and still get some hits in the Phoenix Arizona area.
I checked craigslist to see my competition and all I saw was people from dealerships who offered payment plans and financing. I need to sell outright to get the title from the bank for transfer.
I did that and got a price of $9,800, but the transmission was just rebuilt 9 months ago and now has a warranty which I cannot factor into the price.
