How much can I expect to spend getting this problem on a '97 Buick LeSabre?

This car has high mileage....270,000 miles. Last week the brake alarm and light started going off so I put brake fluid in it. A couple days later, same thing....and brake fluid was quite low again. And again today. Today I noticed some difficulty getting the car to stop (and will not be driving it again until this is fixed). What are the likely problems and how much can I expect to get it fixed if I take it into the shop?

There are no brakes left on your car!
The time that you filled the fluid it just ran right out the pistons of your calipers, because without
any pads your pistons are overextending themselves in the attempt to stop the car. You need a complete brake job. Possible new rotors & calipers, definitely new pads.
Price for parts:
Pads-around $40
Calipers- around $40
Rotors-starting at $50
I would go to "Midas Muffler" and get an estimate
You might be getting into a master cylinder as well $85

Your brake lines are shot. Had the same problem in an 89 LeSabre. It won't cost very much, less than a hundred bucks to replace the lines if you can find cheap labour. It's serious tho - each time you run out the fluid you're just making the hole a little bigger (pressure of the fluid coming out the rusted spot).
