how may hours can i work by law at 17 hours a week / month ( apprenticeship)?

As much as you want to in the UK. My husband has worked 60 hours a week for a straight 16 days in catering. Try that one. Most firms operate a 40 hour week.

Most apprentices are expected to do an 8hour day which is a 40hour week.
It's a lot of hours for a pretty poor wage but well worth doing if you stick with it. You end up fully qualified and earning a good wage in the end.

I'm not sure if there is a legal limit to the hours you can work.
