How many years does it take for a test taking guide book to become out dated?

For example, an SAT 2007 guide could be bought by someone in 2010 and still be "usable".

every year it changes my friend. as of now, dont buy any books. just pay them on net and use it online. anyway, goodluck for your test and God bless you.
