How many years do you think it will take for a civilization on another planet

to contact us? I believe the universe is just too massive for us to be the only ones, we were created out of subatomic particles just like anything else in this universe... so my question is not whether they exist, it is a question of when.
If you don't believe in extraterrestrial life... or your religion forbids it, you can simply say you don't believe in aliens and state your reasons...

It would be arrogant of any religion which believes in a Creator,
to presume that we are the only 'intelligent' life-forms he made.
I think that other intelligent beings contacted us long ago, & still do;
we described them as angels, & demons, or messengers of GOD.
But we are still at too primitive a level to be trusted in space yet.
Crop circles may be attempts to communicate with us currently.

Beats me. But I think it'll be a surprise visit and probably not very pretty either. Nature's rule is survival of the fittest.

Life can and will exist where ever it can. Think about the conditions on Early Earth. Meteors hitting, lighting strikes, little atmosphere, but yet still micro life still existed. Then it evolved into us, cats, dogs, birds, elephants, and everything else on Earth.

Ummm.. I don't think they ever will because there is probably nothing else living in this universe. Thats how I see it.. Thats what I believe. Even if there was, this planet would be either too hot or too cold for them, like us humans cannot live on any other planets because of the climate. The earth will probably die out before a new life comes..
