How many wires/cables do I need to attach to my new starter in my 1999 Buick Lesabre?

there is just one, the positive wire goes to the battery, its grounded thru the motor block. but there should be one more wire.....its the remote wire. it runs from the ignition switch to the starter. this is the one that engages the starter when you turn the key.

but im thinking its the one you are talking about being the one running to the clutch pedal. it doesnt run to the clutch pedal it goes to the brake pedal that inturn runs to the ignition. a buick lesabre doesnt come with a clutch they have automatic trannies in them.

you have the wires you need... the one positive battery cable and the remote wire, only two gets connected to the starter.

I am trying to reconnect my starter, I know that there is a wire from solenoid switch to the starter itself, I also know there is a wire from the starter to the clutch pedal switch,

now are there 2 cables from the battery or just one?
