How many weeks do you have to be for a blood test to come back positive?

hi there with bloods they can tell almost right away as it tests the count and if its more then 5u/ml then you are pregnant which usually happens within days of getting pregnant so if you are tested a few days after getting pregnant then it will still come up positive

If someone is 2 weeks and 4 days pregnant, would it be too early for the blood test to come up positive? I've been pregnant before, and I feel EXACTLY the same this time, but I went in earlier today to take a test and it came out negative. I've heard you need to be 3 weeks for the test to be accurate though.. is this true? Did I take it too early?
