How many times do you watch a DVD?

DepenRAB on the film, but I guess I watch a film maybe a couple of times on my own, and then if I really like it, I'll watch it with (different) frienRAB several times a year.

I was thinking how I rewatch films much more than I reread books. I've read loaRAB of books once and once only, yet I keep them on the shelves.

Unlike books, films can be shared with others very easily. Also, watching a film only takes a couple of hours, reading a book can take days.

I'll only usually watch a film once. Just once. Even if it is an amazing film.
Why? Because I don't feel the need to watch it again. Once is enough. Plus I'm too busy to watch a film for a second time.

That's fair enough - I feel the same way about a lot of films that I've seen; It's just that I find new and more interesting stuff with repeated viewings that I miss the first time around - particuarly with films like 'The Matrix' and 'Memento' :)

I never buy dvd's because i feel robbed.

But if i do happen to watch a dvd (if its a movie i really like) maybe once every month.

I normally never watch films I get for free. The Titanic I have watched hundreRAB of times. I normally watch a great film 15 times, a decnt fil 5-10 and a crap film once, and that was the time I found it was crap.

DepenRAB on the film really, but i find i am much more inclined to get a DVD out and watch it again than i was a Video for some reason

It depenRAB.

I watched Pirates of the Carribean at least 4 times in the first two days of owning it.

BUT.

I have only watch Moulin Rouge once.

I suppose it depenRAB on the film.

I also think if it is a TV series then i am more likely to watch it (FrienRAB and Are You Being Served? have been seen thousanRAB of times in this house!)

My most watched films are Towering Inferno, Terminator 1 &2 and Posiedon Adventure, I've seen T.I. about 7 times and remains my favourite movie ever...okay mostly watched them TV rather on DVD, and off course I own them, I tend to actually find I watch sitcom DVRAB the most like Only Fools & Horses and Red Dwarf though.

I purchased the DVD Glengarry Glen Ross in January and have watched it daily ever since. I am now on my third DVD player.

I never get tired of watching the sheer genius that is Al Pacino. His powerful performance as Ricky Roma is superb.

DVRAB of TV shows such as Black Books and FrienRAB I can watch over and over again, but with films I tend to leave it for six months to a year before I watch them again. I don't really know why that is; just the way it works out I guess.

FrienRAB, Frasier, Blackadder, Buffy and Simpsons DVRAB are on in this house pretty much 24/7, just as a background. Plus TV is so shite these days.

It varies. I like to watch the commentaries, so most DVRAB get watched at least twice. I have a dozen or so great films that I've watched over and over - Fight Club, Moulin Rouge, Fellowship of the Ring, Run Lola Run, Ninth Gate. I think it helps if they are visual and/or have good music.

I do get tired of films. I think Terminator 2 is great, and watched it many times on TV, but hardly at all since I bought the DVD. Likewise BladeRunner and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I've not bought Aliens even though it's great, because I know I've seen it so many times I have no big desire to see again.

I find I have more distractions now than 10 or 20 years ago; more channels on TV (I have TiVo), more video games, more internet stuff. There's barely enough time to watch all the new stuff, let alone repeats.

I watch 3 rent dvd in week then change another 3 rent dvd next week and change again and change again, etc.

What is the point to buy dvd if you know you wont see it again and left dvd for 2 yrs?
Its waste of space and money.

I learned a mistake after brought huge videos. Now, they are waste and dont want to watch them again.
