i currently have a 3200, 6100, and 9200. how many more can we put in the house?

do i need more dishes?

does the 9200 count as one reciver or two?

The number has changed a few times but i believe it is 6. A dual tuner only counts as one.

So a person could legally have 6 9200's on an account and only pay the fee for programming once.

Thats 12 TV's.....

Yes 9200 only counts as one, I have 5 other receivers plus a 9200 activated on my in my house. So Westman is correct in theory BEv should allow 6 9200.

Hello and Merry Christmas
I recieved a Bell 6100 receiver & upgrade kit for xmas and need to install it. This is what I have now...3 - 3100's. They are fed from the sat dish through a 3 input multiswitch ( 2in 4out) My question is this, can I install the second lnb and put a couple of sw21's to combine the sat signals, then just hook the 6100 up for HD? Or do I need to run 2 more cables from the second lnb to a sw44?
Thanks in advance

Yes, to the second part. You need to use the SW44 switch and have four cables from the Dish.

Yes, but I'm not sure if Bell will sell you 6 9200's so you might have to pick up some used ones.

You can take one cable from the second LNB and a cable from the unused output on the SW24 to a SW21. This will give you both sats for HD on the 6100. Two receivers can be fed for HD/82 programming this way. To feed more than 2 receivers from both LNBs you will need a SW44.

This is something new that I haven't heard before. I've often heard a max of six receivers per account but not that up to 4 could be rented. Can anyone else verify this?

AVCHAMBERS

Yes that is right, call up and ask them for your self. That is the most they will allow you to rental at present

6 receivers on a residential account. 9200 counts as one.
If you have more you need to open another account

But you can own 6 9200's, allowing you to watch 12 different channels at once. The cost is a mere $3600. :D

Or, like me it would be six TVs and six DVD Recorders!!! I prefer using the DVD Recorder over the PVR for SD content on DVD-RAM disks. I can then archive the DVD-RAMs to DVD-Rs...confused yet????

LOL

The six receiver limit sucks - I have 3 6000s, 1 9200, and 1 old 4700 hooked up to a HTPC. I've got a couple of old TVs in places like the spare bedroom that I'd like to someday put a receiver on, plus I'd like to get one or two receivers to use just for Galaxie channels, but I can't unless I pay double per month.

The limit is probably there due to abuse by account splitters, but I don't see why I should have to open another account and pay for the programming all over again just to hook up a few more TVs - I'm already paying to buy the additional receivers, and the more I buy, the more entrenched I am with their service (which should be a good thing for BEv). I don't mind having the receivers connected to the phone line all the time - the callerID feature is nice. Why not just make that a requirement for accounts with >6 receivers, then they can be sure that account splitting isn't going on?
