buy 5 or 6 add four check add more if you need extra bottle does hurt can keep it til you need to add oil no problems just add four crank look for leaks shut down check oil add if you need more plus any parts store can tell you
I think if you buy 5 quarts you will be fine. Only put in three check the dip stick and if necessary add that 4th quart should take it up to the full line like it did on my 1997 Grand Prix GTP that used the same 3800 motor.
