propaganda and brainwashing by CCP? I read the comments of a Chinese person today on a China forum. The comments related to the Tiananmen Massacre that the CCP despots carried out in June 1989. Here are some of the portions from the comment:

"For an entire year after Tiananmen, there were five or more broadcasts per day from the state controlled media about how students tried to forcefully overthrow the government in a violent revolution in Tiananmen Square. The news reports were that the government successfully prevented this coup attempt and the people of China should be very grateful for the government for preventing such lawlessness and chaos. The event is not taught in schools . . . most of students are not even aware of it as they were too young . . . . . . "

". . . . . Beijing, while a large city, is a very small part of the country of China at large. Most people in the country didn't have a clue what was happening at that time. And yet, the entire country, from small 10-family villages with radios to large cities were subjected to the same news reports, day after day after day."

"In 1990, I heard these same broadcasts as I traipsed through small villages in Yunnan Province. I was sooooo tired of hearing those broadcasts! At some point, I remember thinking that I understood how brainwashing worked . . . it takes too much energy to fight against it after a while. While I never believed the broadcasts . . . after all, I knew the truth and saw the students, troops, etc., I was mentally fatigued of the strain it took to dispute it, even in my own mind."

Can anyone who has the knowledge about the concerted CCP propaganda -- a strange mixture of half truth and plain lies -- please enlighten me? How many Chinese in China still have the mental strength to resist the constant dose of lies?

The Tiananmen Student Movement was conducted by students mainly between 17 -25 who didnt have a real life experience and were dreamers.

In reality, not everything can be conducted the way adolescents hope for. That is why, when the student leaders grew older, many of them chose to leave the political group.. It is because, when these student leaders became adults, they are able to see why the Chinese government had to run the country in a more disciplinary way than western countries. They were unable to comprehend why the government so strict. Now, they are mature and understand more, so most of them chose to stay out of the political group.

btw, so you believe the college Spring break being popular in the foreign countries aka Girls gone wild Sex Trip is considered a good trip ? lol ..... That is why adolescent's dream is always unrealistic and gives the wild college girls a regret in the later life.

There are some.

"Our current system of censoring news and publications is 315 years behind Britain and 129 years behind France," the letter said.

An exact number in answer to your question is difficult to come up with because the PRC government would never allow any presentation of the extent to which people are dissatisfied with the CCP way of doing things. Suffice to say, a substantial number of those who have resisted "harmonization" have been imprisoned/executed for doing so.
